About the Event
Community members of all ages are encouraged to celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. during Lafayette’s 16th Annual celebration on Monday, Jan. 18, 2021. The event kicks off with a car parade followed by a “drive-in” celebration at Centaurus High School. This celebration will feature remarks from elected officials and live entertainment which will be broadcast through FM radio to your personal vehicle. Event t-shirts and craft bags will be distributed at the beginning of the program at Centaurus (while supplies last).
The car parade will depart from Flatirons parking lot (355 W. South Boulder Road) at 10am and finish at Centaurus High School (10300 W. South Boulder Road) at 10:30am. During the parade, vehicles must follow all traffic laws. Participants will be required to adhere to the Boulder County Public Health Department health guidelines. Please remain in your vehicle at all times. Sitting in the bed of a pickup truck is not allowed nor is sitting or congregating outside of vehicles; masks must be worn if windows are open; vehicles must park in designated parking spots as directed by event staff. Access to restrooms or concessions will not be available.
